WHAT IS AN EMERGENCY SITUATION
An emergency is a situation that poses in immediate risk to health, life or environment. Some emergency situations may require urgent intervention to prevent a worsening situation whilst other emergency situations, mitigation may be possible.
Emergency situations can include;

- adverse weather conditions
- political conflict
- natural disasters such as earthquakes
- serious or sudden illness
- any other critical situations effecting your health, safety and security

- Lost/stolen passport
- road traffic accident
- flight delays/cancellations/strikes

- Contact and take advise from local police/medical person
- Make contact with the Client as well as the E Co Team Leader, to advise them of your situation.
- Keep in touch and give daily updates
- Consider making contact with the Foreign Office to advise them of your situation
- Remember your travel safety training

- taking additional leave for recovery
